i'm rooting for the US and think that they (finally) have the horses to do some damage in the tournament. i still don't think they're talented enough to win it all but am hoping for the best.

they are actually ranked 6th or 7th in the tourney, i think, which is interesting.

the weird thing is that since i live in florida, anybody who cares about football/soccer here is south american...so no one really roots for the US even in the US. most people are rooting for Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay or Spain

Freddie Adu? hindi yata siya pumasok sa final lineup, but not sure. the stars of the US team are Donovan, Reyna, Beasley, McBride and Keller.

hmp.. que yabang naman ng mga Uruguayans na yan eh. 'Divine right' daw nila na makapunta sa Germany. Buti nga natalo sila, at sa Sydney pa sila natalo. herherher...

    The US is Ranked #4.

But I don't think they deserve it. Even if they are a very good team. BTW Freddy Adu wasn't included in the US squad thats going to Germany. Adu although still young has the potential to burst into the scene in this tournament. Something the likes of Pele, Rooney, Maradona has done. Such a shame that he isn't going. He is worth watching the US team.
I havn't seen any pure blooded american male player playing when i was there. It mostly Hispanic and mixed raced people playing soccer there. ( I was in LA ) hehe
I think even if they win the world cup, only the mixed hispanics people and young american women will turn out to celbrate in their glory. something that the prestigous world cup doesn't deserve.
