July 24th, 2003 09:45 AM #21Salamat garyg,
Sa both na sasakyan, ok naman, wala pa kaming bad experience since nabili, yung pajero is almost 2 years na and yung bighorn is 8 months. Alaga nga lang sa maintenance dapat.

July 25th, 2003 07:06 PM #24"Isuzu doesnt recommend to change the ATF (dexron III) kung everyday use lang so Im hesitating to change it. If ever I will buy the ATF they are using sa casa."
Isuzu Pasig changes ATF in tranny every 20k km and, based on the color of drained ATF, it really needed a change. Manila city driving is severe driving conditions.

Kinda weird nga Jack. Both manuals, orig ng BIg horn and U.S Trooper don't recommend it BUT iba nga dito sa Manila. DEXRON III ba gamit mo? Correct me pls, the drain is on the side and you fill it through the dipstick tube? Tama ba?
My tranny's drain is on the bottom of transmission, and i do fill it thru the dipstick tube. ATF level is crucial to getting a smooth shift so check when the engine is really hot and idling.
Did the manual specify a particular brand of ATF dex3? They could be using a synthetic one thus drain intervals are much longer. As to the brand used at local casas, i've seen all sorts, from shell to Polo- can't say if dex2 or 3.
Does your manual cover common rail injection of 4JX1?

Brand ng ATF: hindi eh! Basta Dexron III. Polo nga sa casa. Owner's manual yung akin, hindi shop manual and it does not cover the 4JX1 motor. You can get a complete factory(workshop) manual for this engine as in comlpete, yung gamit sa casa but the price tag, ca. 15K, from Australia. Nag meet kmi kanina with some other Isuzu owners sa Fort Jollibee. Nxt time sana you can join us to exchange notes. I can bring some data that I have.
