guys, especially sa mga seasoned car audio hobbyists, I need your help. I've been quoted (through email) by a dealer in my place about an item...and the price is way lower than what I expected or have seen through, say the brand's official online store. Should I be wary? Or should I just grab the opportunity, I mean getting the item atleast 25% off. Or better yet, how do I make sure that once I get to see the item (I can't see it right now or verify it now 'coz I'm currently away) I could tell right away that I'm looking at a dodgy item (faked, refurb, etc). TIA for all the input you could give me.

    1) Manufacturer's SRP are always "suggested". Dealers get special prices and can therefore offer discounts.

    2) Do not commit until you've seen the actual product.

    3) Some dealers actually are more expensive because they employ good installers, hindi yung tambay lang sa tabi-tabi tapos per-job ang kita.

what brand are we talking about here? agree with cliff, check the product first and test (if possible) before committing.

I understand that but the diff is really outrageous (imho), 50% less.

That's the thing, since he doesn't have stock, what our setup would be, I'd confirm with him that I'll be pushing through with the purchase, then that'll be the only time he'll order it.

hi! the audio system that came with the 2004 rav 4 (alpine) is mediocre at best. it's like the speakers are made of cheap paper. can someone help me upgrade? i'm not an audiophile but i like my audio system to come up with music where i can hear the Ts and Ps pronounced yung parang crisp and clear. i'm not into super loud music and i need a place that can do the installation, etc. Also, preferably a system where i can plug in an ipod. Budget is about 30k? 50k max thanks!
