*andre: Continue to monitor your consumption ha... Let's post regular consumption figures for the 2.7G and the 3.0V. Sana may mag monitor din ng sa 2.5G. Then, let's average out the figures. My consumption data is averaged-out in the last line.

FYI, Mickey's Autosound in Marikina has the iPOD H/U interface for the fortuner. Had it installed just this morning. It took no more than 20mins for the job. It fools the H/U into thinking there's a disc changer installed.

    another topic:

I find my tint too light (med grey). If I strip and change it, would it damage the built in antenna and defogger? Wala pang 1 month yung tint.

Vic, I remembered you mentioning living somewhere south, so you often pass SLEX back and forth. However if you take the QC-Espana-Binondo traffic like I do, you'll end up 6.3 km/l with the same 3.0v, which is the lowest I got strictly sticking to that route.

at the rate the price increases are going, especially if another round of increase is planned this nov., the fortuner may start to lose its affordability appeal.

either they are increasing fortuner's price to make room for the rav4 or they realised belatedly that they priced the fortuner a bit cheap.

There won't be any tension between the all-new Rav 4 and the Fortuner. Lagi naman sold out ang units ng Fortuner kaya walang problema on Toyota's point of view.

If its the price difference and therefore the resulting sales cannibalization that Toyota Phils. is so adamantly worried about, then it would be better if they just bring in the TDM (Thai Domestic Market) Fortuner and price it accordingly. Instead of senselessly increasing prices without any visible improvements to the vehicle.

Toyota's claims that the price increases are being influenced by these factors: high steel prices from China and the exchange rate (peso-to-dollar seems stable hovering at P56 to high P55 to a dollar, so this a bit of a lame or illogical excuse) .

ngaun pa lang unti-unti na nawawala novelty ng fortuner dito sa Ortigas, must have seen more than 10 fortuners from house to greenhills west to galleria to tiendesitas then back to home.

sa loob lang ng greenhills west, masusuya ka sa kakatingin, halos lahat ng naka-park sa main sidewalk ng bahay dun naka-Fortuner na. mamili ka sa color hehehe. was able to compare it side by side with gen3 pajero & nissan patrol (it seems that next to Fortuner, favorites din dito ang gen3 pajero & patrol)

Do they have body color sensors? Our fortuners are of the same color.

I am still searching for a vendor who has a backup sensor whose color is the same as the bumpers. I found one in Shopesville in Greenhills but they don't do installation so I did not get it.

The parking sensor I got uses 3rd generation ultrasonic asymmetrical sensing technology. You can actually spray paint over the sensors, for an original factory fitted look, without affecting their sensitivity. I just chose not to paint over the sensors 'coz the Thai variants don't have their sensors painted over.
