Guys, just wanted to share this pic I got off of FortunerClub.com...

See the hoodguard with an opening for the intercooler intake? This is one good idea...

hmmmm, doesnt this defeat the purpose of a hoodscoop?

also, the hole in the hood scoop seems to allow otherwise erratic flying particles to be redirected and then go straight into the turbo intercooler intake

Was wondering the same thing... I guess this kind of design would appeal more to those guys who feel that the hoodguard tends to choke the intercooler intake.

Won't it be better if they placed a mesh (not necessarily very fine) on the turbo intake?

Also what happens, say you are driving in heavy rain, and for sure water will usually find itself going through that intake opening.

To those frustrated waiting in line or by the fence, take heart, there are more and more Fortuner traversing the roads nowadays. Saw two parked outside LSGH (La Salle Greenhills) and two more parked in Promenade Greenhills, one while test driving a Mazda 6, and some more near Aurora Blvd. A sure sign at least that reservation line is moving *wink**wink*, even if they cut the line and pass you.

Does anyone know which brand of turbo timer is recommended? cost na rin. Plan to install my pajero as well din kasi hindi yata pinapahinga ng driver yun turbo after high speed. Mabuti na yun sigurado.

Fortfan, sorry nakalimutan ko gas version ka pala I went to Goldcars and saw the plastic side garnish am still thinking though since no plate pa naman.

but for the fortuner, i'll wait for the OEM.

saw plenty of fortuners in alabang area kanina, most of them 4x2 d4d. dalawa nga katabi ko sa parking area. while driving naman, siguro every 5 to 10 mins may nakakasalubong ako. tama nga dealer ko, mas marami ngang diesel versions ang iri-release kesa sa gas.:car:

I think this a deliberate ploy by Toyota, to sell more of their higher-profit D4D engines as well as to allow it to attain economies of scale. I wonder if its the same case with the Hilux?
