Nissan Xtrail Owners: Questions and stuff

my brother's xtrail consumes 7-8 km/li, masyado malakas engine nagspin tires pag bigla sa gas pedal, kulang traction ng gulong, we changed it to slightly wide tire gumanda traction, baka it has something to do with the consumption. also tire pressure plays big part sa consumption eh, and good sparkplugs

Hi all,
Took the xtrail up tagaytay, 1st time ng-stretch ng legs yung xtrail, ang sarap talaga i-drive! Pag-overtaking paakyat na off yung overdrive, ang lakas ng pull, minsan parang standing still yung na-overtake, hehe. Can't remember feeling this good on any other car.
Question lang: Totoo kaya sinasabi sa akin ng service guy sa Nissan Commonwealth na pwede mawala yung warranty if 1) ibang oil (hindi galing sa kanila) yung ginagamit on oil change and 2) Nagkabit ka ng air filter (any air filter)? Yun lang natanong ko sa kanya. Basta engine daw ginalaw, pwedeng mawala warranty. Kainis naman, para yun lang. Tapos ang mahal ng synthetic oil nila (yung mineral nila is just the Shell low-end oil -- tinanong ko kung pwede ako mgdala ng semi-synthetic ng Shell, di daw approved).
Parang tuloy ayoko muna maglagay muna ng air filter, baka mgka-problema unrelated sa air filter, tapos wala na warranty. Anybody (other than KMO, hehe) else put in one yet?

caloymd: AFAIK other Nissan dealers allow you to bring your own oil, however they will charge you an additional 20% on labor, thats the catch. Not sure if that applies to all dealers.

ild, some agent is offering us an xtrail 4x2 lang 200 variant. medyo may kamahalan ang monthly amortization of 23K++ sulit kaya ito? hehe from what i hear kasi medyo mababa ang fuel mileage eh around 7-8km/L? pero 2.0L engine naman ito right?

zechs: Its well worth it, fuel consumption is average for city, for highway it can go as high as 12km/li. How much is the interest? If possible have your own bank finance your loan if its more than 12months. Malaki din savings niyo. Also ask for freebies like back up sensor, coupons, free insurance, mortgage, etc. yan ginawa namin.
