November 11th, 2024 09:35 PM #144Yup that's what we were taught too.
"A volcano within a lake within a volcano"
Everything inside of the big lake is inside of the larger volcano's caldera. I think the people who bought property there are crazy, especially the high-end developments. One thing to have been there for a while, another thing to spend a lot of money to live on an active volcano.
On-topic: I am a "kaladkarin". Let others make the plans and just tag along for the trip haha
Hopefully Japan and Germany are in the cards for the next two years.Last edited by Dr.Kamiya; November 11th, 2024 at 09:57 PM.

November 20th, 2024 06:23 PM #149Same! I've been to Thailand once, and I want to go back! Another country I really want to visit is China since I am half Chinese but was born and raised here in the Philippines. I especially want to see the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City in Beijing.

I've been to China for work, but, unfortunately, I haven't been to Beijing. I am a fan of antiquities so I would really really like to visit Beijing as a tourist.
Other places I'd want to see are Machu Picchu (Peru), Athens (Greece), Petra (Jordan), Giza (Egypt), and Jerusalem. I would also love to see Tibet but considering how hard it is to get there, perhaps Nepal/Bhutan would be a worthy substitute.
We were planning to go to Israel+Palestine during Holy Week this year but Hamas ruined those plans. I hope peace will come to the Holy Land in the near future.
