Report: The MMDA is ditching countdown timers in favor of an adaptive stoplight system

They will remove the stoplight countdowns in favor of traffic sensor. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Yung mga sensor works best sa mga intersection na hindi constant na may laman. I don't think it is worthwhile to put these sensors sa mga intersection na laging may laman.

hindi ba pwede may timer pa din kahit may sensor? mas delikado yun kung hindi fixed yung changes bigla bigla na lang mag stop n go yan..

Ayan nanaman gaya-gaya sa first world countries. Hinde naman uubra dito yan eh, kailagan pa ba nawala traffic dito? So mawala kwenta ng smart traffic lights dahil laging meron traffic, wala siya ma adapt.

for some strange reason,
many of those countdown timer-capable stoplights,
have their timers dis-abled.
kaya naman, the motorist is forced to guesstimate.
kaya nabibiktima nang no-contact apprehension, aka, mahiwagang cctv.

it's just stopgap.

whatever we construct,
it eventually gets overwhelmed by our burgeoning population.

what we need,
is an honest, effective population control program.

Malabo yan, 4 levels elevated, sa drawing pa lang hindi na maganda support structure. Single elevated lane pwede pa, arch support.

Tsaka bakit 4 levels pa talaga ah hehe, sa tendency ng lindol, major disaster in the making. Better make it single level lang talaga imho.

Kaduda-duda pa dyan need pa special powers of the president, too much tendency for corruption.
