The unit in Mexico shipped almost half the world away from Japan, while we are nearer...

So the difference in pricing is tax(?). What else?

I read that the Philippine-spec Toyota Raize is sourced from Indonesia, not Japan. Chances are, the Mexican-spec Raize could be from Indonesia too.

width is 1710mm which is a bit wider than my 1st gen ertiga at 1695mm. not bad at all.

The article explicitly stated that the units are from Japan. Anyway, whether from Japan or from Indonesia, it is uncomforting that we are paying 20% more for the same variant of the same global vehicle...
