Super happy with my Daikins so far bro.

I have a 2 hp for my ~35 sqm living room. 1 hp for my bedroom. Total electricity bill ko per month around 1.5k lang.

Total cost for the 2 Daikins was 87k 2 yrs ago kasama installation with extra pipes (around 20 ft).

Magpapakabit din ako for our house naman, 31.5k for the mid-range Daikin (higher EER vs entry level 28k), including first 10 ft installation na.

Hindi siguro overworked ang AC sa condo kaya mababa ang consumption and the kwh rate is lower as consumption goes lower. Our next bill is expected at 4k from our 3k average. 2 units 1.5 hp but only around 9 hours each daily. But we use electricity for cooking and washmac 5x a week, aside from the usual home appliances.

Edit add: nag ac nga pala kami sa hapon on weekends lately hehe, ung daughter ko ayaw mag ac sa hapon, kasi malakas ang cool breeze sa room nya

You'd probably need a ceiling mounted cassette type - the one used in offices.

    using a multi-split A/C (1.5hp living room, 1hp bedroom - single outdoor unit)...

A/C contractor (he's cheapest I found, PM me if you want his details for a possible quote) recommended Daikin over Mitsubishi

Mas mura yung Mitsubishi and outdoor unit was smaller, kaso Daikin uses the newer R12 gas which is also more efficient.

Multi-split Mitsubishi (I think 3 times na kami nagpalit in the past) gamit namin for the longest time so first time using an A/C without "windfree/3D air," medyo may adjustment period pa for indoor parties (pinapatay nung A/C yung candles ng cake)

Kahit walang "windfree/3D air" si Daikin, some positives...
    - quiet mode - para di maingay si outdoor unit (kung gusto gamitin yung balcony for yosi break)
    - motion detect - mag adjust 2degrees higher yung thermostat kapag walang movement na nadetect si A/C

Where there are options, I'd stay away from cassettes. Drain requires pump function, lines above the ceiling need extra insulation + gutter system, & the ceiling where 1's installed on is best of washable material or coating. The areas around the vents have the tendency to get dirty. Cleaning of both the unit & the surrounds will take a bit more care.
When line leaks happen, expect access & damage to the ceiling.
Cassettes are wonderful for the 'industrial' ceilingless approaches, though. Air distribution by these can be even & area-dedicated.

madalas namin tawagin ang aircon maintenance in the workplace, due to our cassette aircon's "needing more than its fair share of servicing", compared to the alternative.
    hassle din serbisin. mabusisi.
one would probably favor it because one has no alternative.

Dont use a cassette type for a house

Use wall mounted or floor standing

Also larger aircons might require 3 phase power

Best for a house that requires 3hp is still a split type vs floor mount. No need for 3phase power supply sa split, floor mounted needs 3 phase power.
Also, cheaper split type in terms of unit cost and unit cleaning.
We have 2 units of 3hp non-inverter splits for our sala. Yun lang nga, they’re Kolin and sirain sya! 6 years old and we have replaced the capacitors around 3-4x, changed the pcbs once. Now 1 unit just blows uncooled air and emits an error again.

Daiken and Mit Air have floor standing units that use single phase power

But at 3hp, a wall mounted FCU is better

Floor standing is up to 6hp
