May crack ata dashboard ko[emoji22] Pero I am amazed with my gen 10. Absolutely ZERO repairs since the warranty expired and it still drives great. But then again 48k kms pa lang (2010 model)
Yung nabakbak na steering wheel lang issue, which is weird considering I barely use the car at super sariwa interior

try mo pa palitan sa casa. 1st owner and regular pms ka naman sa kanila. silent recall yan, kung wala mag claim di nila palitan yan. if all else fail, dalhin mo sakin. may extra synth leather pa ako dito, or if altis G yan pwede tayo swap nun "fixed" dashboard ko (2 hours or less). kung E or V kasi not sure if same wiring.

November 30th, 2020 10:39 PM #3317the issue is not age nor amount of use.
the issue is the chemical composition of the (degenerating) material.
the sixty-four dollar question is,
is it still complain-able, as it is already many years old?

Toyotas of that era suffered from a failed experiment of dash material shift. The 120Prado suffered the same fate, earlier models did not. If left alone, they'd worsen like below. The silent recall expired some 2years ago, IIRC. Our good moderator might have to beg...Who knows....They might reconsider.

November 30th, 2020 11:19 PM #3319our moderatrix is malakas sa toyota casa.
i am confident she will come out smiling.
that is, if she can get covid out of the equation.
my slr camera body, my electronic gadget, my eyeglasses!
they all suffered the same fate of melting/sticky surface syndrome.
is it possible, all these things, including the toyota dash, were all victims of the same auto-destruct material?
the finish looked very nice at first. but after a few years, they all started degrading...Last edited by dr. d; November 30th, 2020 at 11:30 PM.
