Update lang mga bossings on new route to Baguio via the ongoing U/C Sison Bypass Road

Before Bued river. If you exit at Sison, you can take a new by-pass road that is being built at the southern bank of Bued river. This is around 4 km and it will by-pass Camp 1 so that you will reach Kennon after the first Kennon bridge. The by-pass is being done by DPWH and it is supposed to be completed next year. I think that presently, it is already 50% complete.

GOOD NEWS! #TPLEX Sison to Rosario segment will be TEMPORARILY open LATER today December 15, 2019 to motorist FREE OF CHARGE. From Barangay Cauringan Sison Pangasinan towards terminus at Subusub Rosario La Union. No need to use the narrow Bued bridge along MacArthur Highway.

NOTE: If you are going to Baguio from Manila / TPLEX, you have to exit at Pozorrubio and drive to MacArthur Highway, then turn left at the Sison temporary entry towards Rosario using the Sison - Rosario segment. The Pozorrubio to Sison segment is still not passable.

There was a soft opening or dry run of the TPLEX - Rosario to Sison segment yesterday December 15, 2019. The Junction of Pugo Rosario Rd and MacArthur Highway was transformed into a rotunda (which is still incomplete as of this posting). The Rosario - Sison section is 5.93 km long, while the 5.5 km Sison to Pozorrubio segment is still under construction. Hopefully early next year we can see a full opening of this new segment of #TPLEX

From MacArthur Highway (Northbound) you turn left to the temporary entry / exit of Sison then drive all the way to Rosario passing the beautiful Bued viaduct towards Rosario main toll plaza ending at the terminus which is the Rosario rotunda, if you are to go to Kennon Road turn right to the rotunda, while if you are going to Marcos highway, take the second turn while the third goes to Damortis and Rosario bayan.

NOTE:
Important Advisory: The Pozorrubio to Sison segment is still (under contruction) as not passable as of this posting. Motorist have to exit at Pozorrubio interchange towards MacArthur Highway before gaining access to Sison interchange. This is to bypass the MacArthur Highway - narrow Bued bridge

Baguio City is eyeing to open its tourism industry and economy by September, Mayor Benjamin Magalong said on Tuesday.

In a television interview, Magalong noted that opening the City of Pines to tourists would also depend on the situation of nearby regions.

"Based on our timeline, we will open up our economy and tourism sometime in September with the assumption that things normalize in NCR, Region III and Region IV," Magalong said on ANC.

"This time, when we open up, it's just like applying for a visa and that's precisely what we're doing right now with returning Baguio residents... You know the best way to do it is probably to start with about 10% and then start to learn the dynamics of it," Magalong explained.

"Once we're used to managing the 10% and learn the dynamics of it, we start to increase it... 20%, 30%, 40%," he added.

Swabe na punta mo nun boss if all-clear na by that time as the final section of TPLEx Phase 1 is opening on 15 July 2020. [Sison IC to follow].

This is it, the last update before the opening of #TPLEX #TarlacPangasinanLaUnionExpressway

As of this update there are ongoing works on the Sison Interchange. The July 15 opening probably must be the main carriageway from Pozorrubio to Rosario. I guess the Sison toll plaza and Interchange will be operating in the coming months. I have nothing more to say except the road condition was superb! Asphalt was good! It was a great drive!

I wanted to congratulate #SMCTPLEXCorpration and #SMCInfrastructure for this wonderful expressway. This expressway has benefited many motorists going to the north. Truly it was a big help to ease up traffic and a big convenience for vehicle travel. Most of all, a big salute and thanks to the people in the construction team of TPLEX as they have made miracles over this project despite the covid19 pandemic and time constraint and other issues. Thank you very much SMC!
