February 22nd, 2020 06:35 PM #214Here's what's nice about this. People will sell their Chevrolets at a low price.
For people who know how things really work, this will be a really good opportunity.
It really doesn't matter to me if Chevy closes all their plants. I'm sure some enterpising OEM supplier will buy the tooling for the parts and produce spares.
Just go out and ask for replacement parts.
And if Chevrolet prices really go down, you can always get an extra to part it out.Last edited by ppcsurfr; February 22nd, 2020 at 06:35 PM. Reason: Spelling

For now, all GM said was they will leave right-hand drive markets.
After the warranty is over many just go to shops that sell cheaper GM parts like Thunder/Lightning in Banawe, QC and Mandaluyong.
The parts/components are usually made by subcontracted parts manufacturers.
This is the reason you can buy parts for discontinued models, my brother was able to buy parts for a Chevy Optra that has been discontinued over 10 years ago and a Honda that's over 20 years old.Last edited by AG4; March 5th, 2020 at 02:15 PM.
