Fuel and oil leaks causing engine runaways can have both internal and external causes. Broken seals or a broken turbocharger may cause large amounts of oil mist to enter the inlet manifold, whereas defective injection pumps may cause an unintentionally large amount of fuel to be injected directly into the combustion chamber. If a diesel engine is operated in an environment where combustible gasses are used, a gas leak may result in an engine runaway if the gas can enter the engine's inlet manifold

Kahit ilang years ka na nagmamaneho, there will come a time your brain will just suddenly messed up, happened to me also, luckily the Porsche cayenne that was parked behind me was a few meters away when I started to back up, when I brain started to work again and stepped on the brake, the rear of my car and the Porsche was just a few inches away.

they could not replicate the SUA-ness, nor find out what engine condition gave rise to its explosive output.
also, the presence or absence of the red brake lights, as seen in the various videos, give weight to the mitaken identity theory.
