    well... it's not that simple.
    it is a complex inter-action of the magma source, how it is accumulated under the volcano, and what the volcano does to defuse the situation.
    while pinatubo was asleep for over 500 years, its increased activity was detected only a few months before it erupted to become the second largest eruption of a volcano in the twentieth century.

    kaya bulok ang tagaytay eh dahil sa pulitiko nila.

    nagpataas lang ng ihi at sumipsip yung governador.

    bakit nyo kasi hinayaan magpatira malapit sa vulcan. Dapat super layo housing jan. (kung ako leader jan ang iallow ko lang eh tatlo to lima familya lang ng katutubo/tribo if meron pa)

    Swete hinid tinamaan ng lindol mga condo jan. Kaya mag-isip-isip kayo kung patuloy develop ng residential high-rise. What would be the after effects in case of disaster. May countermeasures ba or makikisipsip lang.

    Yan ba yun nakikita sa nat geo na lumalabas yun mga lava? Parsng sa Hawaii?

    Diba ang delikado diyan talaga yun withing the area lang since mag flow yun lava?

    Hawaian volcanoes are generally "quiet". Think Mayon 1984 or Bikini Atoll atomic tests but smaller. In fact the expanding ring during those tests was the basis for the term base surge. They thought such an occurence only happened in atomic explosions but in 1965 the same pheomenon was observed in Taal.
