September 12th, 2019 02:02 PM #151after watching my second highlights eh may bansag na ako kay campazzzo.
facundo "tanchado" campazzooooooooh
He can penetrate both left & right pero yung kaliwa strong side nya.
Tapos yung passing game grabe.

Jayson castro was really the best PG in Asia for some time. Complete package. Kaso bugbog nga sa laro. 3 conference's ba naman tapos international play pa kaya lagi din na-iinjure.
Dapat bawasan talaga yung conference ng PBA if kahit sa Asia man lang mag-number 1 ulit tayo. Then maybe if we grow about 2-3 inches more in average height for basketball players eh pwede na makaporma din sa world stage.

Sharing this one; Excerpt from the article below:
[quote]
A couple of nights ago, right before Argentina beat Poland in the second round, a couple of Argentine journalists actually approached me and said something surprising.
“Hey, you’re Filipino?” they asked. “You know, we like how the Philippines play. Your offense is fast. You have style, and have some shooters. Your big guy (June Mar Fajardo) has talent.”
I felt queasy at the rare compliment. I knew some flak was surely coming my way to temper it.
“But your defense is not for FIBA play and some players look like they have already give up,” they said.
“And where is that kid, (Kai) Sotto? How about another kid, (Carl) Tamayo? They are good. This is different basketball, but Philippines can be good. They can play like Argentina. Not a big team, but a fast team — fast team with heart. Maybe some Argentina coaches can do clinics in Philippines?”
If only we were so lucky, yeah? And to think basketball isn’t even Argentina’s number one sport. These journalists also lamented how football is their number one sport and yet they don’t have much success in it. It’s all over TV and media, but their system is not good. According to them, something must change in Argentine football.
Sounds familiar, yes? Something must change in Philippine basketball or the difference between our brand of play and the world’s standards will continue to widen.

Before this world stage. Lagi kong nababasa Filipino players has the talent wala lang height eh nun naglalaro na sa world stage wala na nga height ang layo pa ng talent level natin sa ibang bansa.

To be fair. This is not the best team we sent.
But talent wise, malayo parin. Si abbarientos parin ang pinaka malapit na nba talent natin [emoji23]
Mga pinoys are addicted to hero ball style. Dribble dribble. Palit coach and mvp and smc should share the cost if they "want" PH to move forward.
Pinaka best gawin ulit is yung cadetship program few years back to train and develop. Kaso parang ayaw na gawin ni mvp kasi napupunta lang sa smc yung ibang players.... Again politics.

to put things into perspective and to be fair to the players, the flawed system used by coach yeng forced the guards to dribble around because they were waiting for the designated point makers to get into their respective positions. kaso hindi nga makaposisyon kasi they were being manhandled consistently and not to mention the fact that the offensive sets were easy for opponents to read and counter.
ewan ko ba kung bakit pinilit ni guiao iyong ganyang sistema considering naging national team coach na siya dati. more often than not, the players were really forced to freelance w/c made them ultimately look real bad.
i said it here once, and i'll say it again, the dribble drive motion offense is the most apt for us pinoys.
btw, when we had fresh primo college players recruited to play for the gilas team, everybody wanted pros to comprise the national team instead because simply put, they were already batak physically w/ mature offensive and defensive skills - w/c were all true. kaya i'm convinced the gilas core should still be made-up of pba stalwarts but the structure on how things are run has got to get a major overhaul.Last edited by baludoy; September 13th, 2019 at 08:50 PM.
