Tesla model 3 is ahead of BYD and NIO in terms of software in efficiently converting that energy from battery to wheels. And in the EV world, even if the cars have the same batteries and motors, all things equal, the better software wins.

I am more inclined to believe that EVs are the future and Tesla would end up like Fyre Festival.

That would have been the case if Tesla died in 2010 or 2009, when they just launched the Tesla Roadster and was probably conceptualizing the Model S
Now they're on their fourth model and basically moved the whole car industry into producing EVs. Even if they drop in popularity the demand towards EVs has massively jumped compared to before. Fulfilling their goal of electrification of the car industry.
