To make the long story short Nasa's opinion was or rather they were skeptical about one particular code that in the event of a "voltage spike" (which almost always happens to all electronic devices) it could send a wrong voltage input to the sensor/s and may result to....you're guess is as good as mine

This report, just like Kag's, never made it to main stream media. Im sorry i cannot provide the link anymore as grupo toyota board is not working anymore so just take my post with a grain of salt so to speak

Voltage spike wasn't concluded by NASA but by Ronald Belt

    NASA and NHSTA conclusion

U.S. Department Of Transportation Releases Results From NHTSA-NASA Study Of Unintended Acceleration In Toyota Vehicles | US Department of Transportation

NASA engineers found no electronic flaws in Toyota vehicles capable of producing the large throttle openings required to create dangerous high-speed unintended acceleration incidents. The two mechanical safety defects identified by NHTSA more than a year ago – “sticking” accelerator pedals and a design flaw that enabled accelerator pedals to become trapped by floor mats – remain the only known causes for these kinds of unsafe unintended acceleration incidents. Toyota has recalled nearly 8 million vehicles in the United States for these two defects.

The post i saw was a side report from one of the engineers of nasa expressing their concern about a code in the program and since they lacked enough time to conduct thorough testing they just went on with report that you googled.

Thanks to the "public mindset" that SUA exist...

Yesterday my lolo got into accident. The car was a 2018 Honda Civic (FC) 1.5 Turbo. Pinalitan 2 days ago ng Steering Wheel Gearbox sa Honda Quezon Avenue dahil recall daw and free of charge naman. Kahapon lang ulit ginamit yung auto then nag loko. Base sa kwento ng lolo ko, Sudden Unintended Acceleration but this time no brakes. Human error? Nope! More than 50 Years na driving lolo ko, and Twice binangga yung nasa harap kasi wala brakes and umaandar padin daw. And 1 year na gamit yung auto. (Medyo kabisado na) And isa pa, hindi makakapag mabilis sa lugar (Ramirz st) madaming humps. And mabagal siya mag drive. After repair lang nangyare. Good thing wala nasaktan sa accident. And yes okay lang po lolo ko.

So guys na may Civic FC na may recall. Pa check nyo maige unit nyo..

Honda Cars Quezon City / Honda Quezon Ave : Bago kayo mag release ng unit nyo after repair i’check nyo naman maige. Sobra delikado ng ginawa nyo.

Sharing this to everyone para maging aware po tayo. Thank you!

there's no such thing as stepping on the wrong pedal no?

    it's always the car's fault
