Piaggo props the 3-wheeled Apé to get your business going
Words by Christopher Kho
Fuel-efficient, easy to maintain, and affordable, Piaggio invented the Apé (pronounced ah-peh) back in 1948 as a cheap means of transport to help rebuild a war-torn Europe. Although it's been over six decades years since we've last seen war here in the Philippines, Autoitalia Philippines Enterprises Inc. (APE Inc.) - the official importer and distributor of Piaggio Ape Commercial vehicles in the country - clearly sees this three-wheeler's potential to get today's new businesses going.
The Apé is available in four variants - a basic Drive-Away Chassis, Pickup Truck, Delivery Van, and Passenger car - to cater to all types of businesses, be it for transport, delivery, mobile selling, or special customizations. Think about it. The Apé can be configured as a mini-Jeep, mobile food kiosk, bake shop, delivery service, or even as mobile advertising. The sky's the limit when it comes to transforming this cute little trike into a cash cow.

Hella cheaper than a brand new Multicab. The bare chassis used to be 200k. I see they've dropped it to 190k.
With that, you get a 400cc diesel in a ladder-frame scooter truck that can do almost 40 km/l. Not bad.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
