4x2 variants does not have hill start assist. It will depend on the gradient. The torque converter will hold you on a slight incline. If it's too steep(like most multi level parking buildings), then you will roll backwards. 4x4 variants have hill start assist that will hold the brakes for you while you transfer from brake to gas pedal.

Thanks for the feedback. I hope Nissan will include the HSA function in their 4x2, since many buyer does not a need 4x4 but needs to hurdle the traffic even going inside mall parking. The new Vios has it now for all variants.

Use the brakes to hold the vehicle in an incline ... NEVER use your transmission / engine ...

This is applicable for m/t? I used to do half clutch if medyo alanganin ang arangkada sa incline instead of handbrake/footbrake...

Yes. Mas lalo sa manual. You'll wear the clutch out faster.

Got my nav VL. Fyi and for those wondering...revised and updated na ang mga parts na ginamit dito relative to previous warranty claims. Steering hose and seats are now different vs the 2015 models.

The 7AT is smooth naman. No complaints. Engine is powerful.

Only complaint is that the engine is kinda noisy during 1st startups.
