US is the number one super power for now but Russia and China are close 2nd. A breakthrough in technology and a strong economy will shift the balance of power.

We’re talking about a future that hasn’t happened yet so nobody’s been proven right or wrong
And this guy is so confident that the future he doesn’t “favor” will never happen
Good luck din

US hegemony is US hegemony..it is what it is
The fruture that you aspire for is a DREAM a NIGHTMARE
The only way to dislodge US hegemony is to engage the US into a nuclear war..destroy all their infrastructure and arsenal
GOOD LUCK to all of us

not china #1 but a multipolar world
a world where some countries (not only 1) can stand up to the US
a world where the US can no longer replace other countries' leaders by force just coz they don't like them
a world where US sanction power is no longer feared
U.S. Sanction Power May Be Reaching Its Limit - Bloomberg

after the Cold War, America's plan was to integrate Russia and China into the Western liberal world order by diplomatic and economic inducement
The US was hoping it would result in Russia and China becoming content enough existing under a US-led order that they wouldn't want to disrupt it
Too bad things didn't go according to plan
Russia and China went their own way
The US lost control of Russia and China
Instead of integrating potential rivals into the US-designed world order that world order is now being challengedLast edited by uls; June 19th, 2018 at 10:56 AM.

With that kind of reasoning, we can add India into the equation.
After all it is pissed with US and western countries that mandates strict pollution measures which they think is hampering their growth. They do not like China as well. They somehow warm to Russia though.
The way I see it, Russia-China-India will never form a coalition big enough to challenge the US but they do want a multipolar world order.
I guess in the end you can say that US influence will wane but so far no indication that it will be replaced as the # 1 country. Their collective influence to the three will degrade but separately, that is where they might have some success or leverage. What I mean is obviously they cannot make the three align to the same solution that easily, but the US may use the divide and conquer strategy. Different strokes for these countries might keep them relevant.
The key is the US president must have the support of majority of american and a considerable support that is. Unlike a divisive president like trump.
