June 7th, 2017 08:45 AM #4722Hmmmm ... "Hatak" and fuel consumption are two different things.
Three month 11th gen 1.6 G owner here.
Going uphill is no problem. Went up Timberland without going manual.
Fuel consumption was supposedly improved dahil sa CVT. I'm getting about 9 in QC driving.
No feedback yet on steering/suspension because my Altis is too new.

Same tayo ng ride, doc. Ayos sa okay pa naman but on the hunt na rin sana ng Toyota Altis 2.0V 2011-2013 pero very scarce sa 2nd hand market. Y2011 is when this Altis variant first got a CVT yata. Been driving my brother's 11th Gen 1.6V with the CVT and I think I'm not missing the head snapping acceleration naman. My main concern is the supposed additional fuel mileage that the technology affords over the conventional AT. I had my apprehensions earlier but unanimous naman sa nabasa ko that Toyota CVT is one of the most reliable. But as I've said medyo scarce talaga at kung meron man eh above my budget na. Kaya tuloy kung saan saan na napunta ang choices ko.

225/40R18 is the best fit IMO. That's what I had with my old Altis. Sakto pa sa circumference compared to stock tires (205/55R16). 235/40R18 fits too, although a bit wide.
225/45R18 pala yung weird pag walang drop. Sidewalls too thick.
