A diesel running at a set rpm/load will always be more efficient than otherwise. Run it like a Prius... connect it to the wheels via a planetary drive or even direct drive. Geared so that at 2k rpm, it's doing 40-60 km/h. Doesn't need to go any faster.

At lower speeds, traction motors assist the engine, running off a generator attached to the engine. The generator will only charge capacitors, with a minimum amount of deep cycle batteries.

As for what you'd do with the engine while at a stop?

    Aircon.

Other proposals for commercial industrial hybrids use hydraulic hybrid systems, that forego expensive batteries and store energy as hydraulic pressure.
Hybrid or not but the mere fact that batteries dont last a long time, it have to be replaced at a later point in time. otherwise, its just pure combustion engine with the option to go hybrid should they be able to fund the battery replacement

Engine generates power to move an object, the wheels traction on the road make the motion happen, the clutch transfer the power generated by engine into the wheel. So how does the traction motor assist the engine by drawing its power from the capacitors charged by generator attached to the engine?

Its either combustion or electric power at a time. It will never be both at the same time.

When its stop and go traffic, electric is efficient. When its open road combustion is the way to go. Use the electric power on an open road it will draw more current, more current requires more battery, more battery means more costly replacement in the future because batteries have a life span.

Again, batteries dont last forever. Even if its under utilized it will die a natural death

Nobody is denying that battery technology has to improve.

    WRONG!

"Toyota vehicles equipped with Hybrid Synery Drive are powered by a combination of a gasoline engine and electric motors. Depending on the driving conditions the car's wheels may be driven by either the gasoline engine or the electric motors individually or by both at the same time."

The gasoline engine and the electric motors are connected by the Power-Split-Device.

Somebody does not know how parallel hybrids work.

"Patience" and "strong faith in God"? How about making a better product?

The Japanese follow Kaizen (continuous improvement). We have "pwede na iyan" and "bahala na."

the spaniards have really screwed the pinoy psyche. lagi nalang faith in god. bahala na si lord/batman. etc

    kaya wala tayo improvement

^Both engines (hybrid) existing in the engine bay but occupying their own respective space.

Both engines can generate power to turn the wheels but it will not do so simultaneously, hence the word OR
