Search for yebo's experience with his Mazda BT-50 and the lemon law in this forum. In the end, he had to agree to 40% loss value of his unit (less than 2 years old) so that Mazda will refund him under the lemon law.

March 3rd, 2016 07:50 AM #1493hello tsikoters,
Update lang po para sa mga readers ...
Antay pa rin ako ng call from FORD. About sa car namin ngayun, a bit more evident ang shuddering compare before. Araw araw kasi gamit ng wife ko. Other than the DCT issue, very good na sana ang car. Pasok sa preference ni misis, parang SUV na rin with 1.5 engine. Stable sa rektahan so far.
But still yung transmission ay issue talaga. Wla man lang ako mahagilap na press release ng FORD kung anu na ang ginagawa nila sa design na ito. Some says i-extend nila ang warranty for the transmission issue up to 5yrs ... meaning matatagalan pa talaga nila ma resolve permanently ang problem. I hope may option ako na palitan ng CVT.
I'll keep posting sa progress.

March 11th, 2016 05:38 PM #1494P advise nmn sa mga owners ng manual transmission na ecosport.. Is it worth it? Maintenance wise and mern po b tlgang issues ung ecosport? Would it also be okay we buy from dealerships in Manila considering that we are based in Cebu? What are the usual problems that i should i be prepared for? .. We're choosing between accent, vios and was planning to stretch the budget a bit to get an ecosport..
Thank you!

Maintenance for small Fords isn't significantly more expensive. Maybe 5k per PMS (except 20k and 40k PMS where you replace more fluids and filters). You'll only have to start worrying when your car is past warranty because parts availability isn't as good as a Vios.
But if you're looking for an alternative to the Vios with better flood fording capability and higher ground clearance, the Ecosport is a good choice, especially the manual.
Manila dealerships are usually cheaper with shorter queues. But it costs about 20-40k to ship a car inter-island.

It's still cheaper to ship the vehicle yourself, dealers overcharge shipping rates.

kakahila lang ng newish ecosport ng neighbor ko (it's not a year old afaik) . gusto ko sana maki-osyoso kaso hindi kami close hehe
i was observing the hauling process through our gate and it seemed it has power naman since it climbed atop the flat bed truck on its own so i guess it's not the a/t tranny that's the problem. na-intriga tuloy ako heheLast edited by baludoy; April 2nd, 2016 at 12:06 PM.
