I understand what "overpowering the brakes" mean. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discredit your story. You should reread my post to understand my emphasis on this as a "complicated issue."

I'm not really sure what you meant by "complicated issue". Umandar habang naka brake yung Montero, nabunggo yung pedestrian (baka naman tinamaan lang ng konti yung pedestrian). yun lang po hehehe.....

    Lets move on na hehehe.....

bro, nabasa mo naman siguro kung pano mag react yun mga experts. Lol. Pinako sa cruz yun natutong gumamit ng kaliwang paa for braking. It's the lack of ones perspective kaya di matanggap na pwede naman palang gamitin ang kaliwang paa kung yun ang kinagisnan ng tao.

I use my right foot to brake and i wouldnt even try using my left foot to do that. The current pedal set up may have been designed for right foot braking, but if someone is comfortable with left foot braking and has done that ever since tehn i think it will be second nature for that person to use the left foot. It's that simple. No one is saying that it should be that way. Lol

Maybe some car brand is furious and throwing tantrums for not being given enough time to introduce their product into the market. Like for example, Mux, Mux at least enjoyed a year of no new competition

Question, is it possible for rust to form on the fuel on injectors due to poor/questionable fuel quality thus leaving it in an "on" position delivering fuel to the engine?

It was just a random thought I had as the Montero tends to encounter CEL issues due to rust formation in the fuel system? Our had rust formation on the fuel neck, others I personally know had rusting inside the tank. Is it possible for rust to form after the fuel filter?

I am just asking as this issue is of course a valid concern. I lean more towards driver error more than anything else, but that 1% chance that it could be happening is of course still a concern.

To add as well, the pedal positioning of the Montero (brake pedal and accelarator) is on the close side but not too close that would make it indistinguishable though. Some fringe cases are likely to be incorrect pedal application because they are personally not used to such clearances if you ask me. If you compare pedal position of the Fortuner vs Montero, the Fortuner is more distinct while the gap between the brake and accelator of the Montero is about 2" only where my foot can only slide almost halfway while still being on the accelerator pedal and it is already hitting the side of the brake pedal.

hmmm... The way Noli of ABS CBN does his commentary, pilit nyang di-demonize ang mitsubishi, pilit nyang kinakabit na ito daw ang dahilan bakit pinili ni PNOY pumunta sa plant opening kesa sunduin ang SAF44 sa Villamor. Tsk..tsk.... How thick can you get? I doubt Mitsubishi twisted PNOYs hand in not going to Villamor airbase... In all the interviews, me kasalanan ang sasakyan, I mean just tonight there was a video of a Monty going back and forth hitting vehicles, but ganon talaga yun, you put it in reverse and floor it, it goes backward hard, hinde naman aabante yun pag hinde dinala sa Drive, so the driver obviously put it in D mode and floored it. I shifter didnt put itself in drive or reverse by itself. Yoko lang magsalita pero me frst hand experience kami sa "Kabayad" moves nyan.

Now that politics and Media hype is in the mix, well its going to be a full blown circus....

After all thats said and done, after the DTI, congress, media, at the end of the day, Mitsubishi is going to hold its ground by saying driver error... why? They are the experts, no way DTI is going to say were technically better than you in automotive investigation, so with the politicians and the media... It's gooing to stick. Just look how adamantly Binay denies he owns a hacienda, I mean all the signals and signs are there but since there is no single evidence that links him.... nothing happened. And since no smoking gun points to mitsubishi.... No one will claim they know more than the experts.

Oh BTW I still believe it driver error. :-)
