I'd go with MT to get the most out of available HP and torque.

Now, for my V6 Sonata (3.3L), the AT is fine. No delays. It's like a late 80's or early 90's V8 with the torque and response.

I feel sad that only base variants are equipped with manual transmission nowadays
The most luxurious car you can buy with a manual trans is a toyota prado diesel

I honestly prefer manuals when it comes to going up/down slopes (mountains/hillside roads). It at least gives me more confidence and control via shifting.

But overall, I still side with ATs. More specifically, I am very inclined with current gen CVTs. I am already used to the rev-drone when you try to accelerate hard as I seldomly do it.

Manual since cars with Automatic trannys are heavy. Plus Manuals are more fuel efficient given the right foot.

But a manual car with a semi-racing clutch on EDSA traffic?

I'd have the best of both worlds.
MT when you are up for some spirited driving.
AT when you just wanna go from a-b, specially in MM traffic.
