luckytruck: followed your advice with the passive xovers. plus installed a 12" Phoenix Gold Tantrum Sub and an alpine V12 MRV-705 4 channels sa stock setup ko... (i am using a DEH-P3550MP as HU).

tapos, reverted all cosmetic mods to stock. mas astig oto ngayon. all stock outside, hayuf sa bayo inside.

next, might upgrade mid-range speakers (saka na, baka next year na...)

yup agree bro.... somehow, metallica sounds better, the guitars are really crisp, the drums are really solid.... (btw, i am a metallica fan...)

if you read this whole thread, you should have a pretty good idea what is a good beginners sound setup

you have a fairly large budget. you could replace headunit P8,000, get a nice 4 channel amp P8,000, get a nice set of separates P6,000. and get a sub P4,000. P4,000 for sub box, wiring and labor
