Column: Mayweather-Pacquiao nothing more than an epic scam
Chances are, these guys will dance around the ring for 36 minutes, Mayweather piling up the points while an increasingly desperate Pacquiao goes for a Hail Mary of a punch.

For Manny, retiring with all your crowns with someone else leave a forever sour taste...
No rematch as Pacquiao won’t ever beat Mayweather anyway, says Floyd Sr.

LAS VEGAS — A rematch? Don’t even think about it.
Floyd Mayweather Sr. feels a second fight between his son and newly-minted unified welterweight champion Floyd Jr. and Filipino ring superstar Manny Pacquiao is not necessary.
Floyd Jr. silenced his critics on Saturday night after beating Pacquiao by unanimous decision, 118-110, 116-112 and 116-112 to stay unblemished after 48 fights, and the result alone explained why a rematch is highly unlikely.
“Pacquiao would never beat him anyway,” Floyd Sr. said.
“He would never beat him, believe me because one thing he doesn’t have is, he doesn’t have this,” Floyd Sr. said, pointing to his head.
The pound-for-pound king has one more fight left in his contract with Showtime and again said that his last fight will be in September before calling it a career.
And Floyd Sr. thinks his son should pick an easy fight for his farewell bout.
“I’m gonna tell you what I think he should do in September being that he had fought pretty much all of the guys around him, the hard-hitters the Alvarez’s, Cotto, Maidana, he fought all of them. My son should take this contract and fight an easy fight. He don’t need those tough fights.”
“He doesn’t have anything left to prove. There’s no one left for him to fight.”
And a fight against British boxer Amir Khan is possible. A bout which Floyd Sr. thinks will be a “good fight” and an “easier” one for his son.
When Floyd Jr., himself, was asked about a rematch, “all I wanna do now is go home and rest.”

May 3rd, 2015 07:09 PM #246If he retires now, it's a sad ending indeed for the people's champ. But I don't think he'll be remembered in history for his defeat this day. The great Sugar Ray Robinson lost 5 of his last 11 fights, including the last one but nobody remembers this. Pacquiao will be remembered as the first and only octuple champion who inspired millions with his charm, entertaining fighting style and success story. After all, you can't win them all unless you're Rocky Marciano or Floyd Mayweather Jr. ;)
Let us be proud of our champion. It was an epic boxing career.
