paakyat ako baguio kahapon via marcos hiway on a Montero gls-v, then habang naza zigzag ako, i overtook a bus dun sa open portion na slight incline. Driving in auto D mode, i floored the pedal a bit before overtaking to downshift, after overtaking ayaw na mag upshift yung gear. kahit umaabot na sa 3-3.5k rpm eh ayaw talaga.
so i put in in manual mode, nasa 2 lang yung gear, tried upshifting using the paddle shifter ayaw talaga. experience alternating a/t & m/t mode for around 2 minutes until may safe spot sa gilid to park. pinatay ko makina, rested it for 5 minutes after that naayos na shifting nya hanggang makarating ako ng baguio proper..
then last night naman while on full stop sa medyo matarik na side street kasi mag-megre ako sa main road, pag arangkada ko, the engine hesitated for about 2 seconds bago umabante ng biglaan at pakadyot buti na lang at nakaliko na yung sa harap ko. maybe ito yung dreaded SUA but intended naman talaga yung acceleration ko, nga lang nadelay ng konti yung arangkada..
tinawagan ko na yung SA ko kahapon and i was advised na dalhin sa Motorplaza Baguio para macheck so i'm bringing it later today.. katatapos lang ng 25k PMS ko last week.. anybody experience this??Last edited by Elroi; December 17th, 2014 at 08:07 AM.

Ung may map light... ayaw na kasi mag lock.

December 17th, 2014 12:25 PM #1336This one (bold part) I had a similar experience sa tagaytay naman, na stuck sa 3rd gear, iirc normal lang yan kasi adaptive ung invecs II. but wait mo lang reply ng mga gurus dito then sa casa tapos update mo kami bro. Also wala pang forum member na naka experience ng first hand SUA. HTH

Na-experience ko rin po yung upshift hesitation during test drive event sa MOA, (monty gls-v 4x2)
pag slow roll tapos biglang diin sa accelerator pedal (flat surface), meron syang delay about 2-3 seconds, tapos biglang surge yung takbo, pero manageable naman for braking, kailangan talaga mabilis ang footwork pag tapak sa brakes.
Sa MT version, kailangan proper yung timing sa pagbitaw/timpla sa clutch at accelerator, violent ang jump (kadyot) in first gear..
kung sa incline surface naman, much better talaga na i manual mode pag AT or hold yung paddle shifter, napansin ko po nung time during test drive, nag manual mode po ako, in slow roll (10KPH), nasa 2 na agad yung naka-indicate sa dashboard. di ko lang po sure kung ang montero, 2nd gear start lagi pag flat surface.
kung sa incline, sa MT, kayang-kaya up to 2nd gear, no problem, pero ang napansin ko naman po sa downhill, pag 1st gear, pigil na pigil yung takbo, then 2nd gear, pigil din pero hindi gaano mabagal, (parang merong electronic protection ang transmission sa MT version)
Eto po yung na-observe ko sa accelerator pedal, apply very light foot during idle at naka neutral (aircon off), response agad yung RPM from 800 RPM to 1000 RPM, pero biglang tapak at biglang bitaw at least 50% yung tapak, papalo lang sa 2K RPM.
From light foot na tapak, tapos hold yung pedal sa 1000 RPM ng 2-3seconds, biglang tapak ng 50% sa accelerator pedal, biglang surge yung RPM sa 2500-3K RPM,
About naman sa SUA na sinasabi,
Hindi totoo, saka nasa driver na ang responsibility, nangyari na sa akin 1 time na yung accelerator pedal nag-stuck dahil sumabit yung tsinelas ko sa matting, nag shift ako sa 1st gear at bago ko binitawan yung clutch, napansin ko na yung revving na yung engine ng 1200RPM kaya nag neutral agad ako at handbrake at inayos ko yung matting, at medyo drive with caution din lalo pag naka-tsinelas. much better talaga na naka-sapatos at yung mga foreign object na makaka-interfere sa accelerator pedal (matting/car freshener na nakakalat sa flooring lalo sa driver seat) dapat maayos ang position ng matting bago mag-drive at walang gamit na nakakalat sa driver seat in-case na mag brake at dederetso sa gas/brake pedal.

December 19th, 2014 09:51 PM #1338goodevening mga sir, just got my unit from citimotors LP, regarding sa inclined driving, medyo mataas yung garage ko, kaya ko napansin na pag naka hang ako sa slope at nagbrake ako, kailanagan kong bilisan ang pagtapak ulit sa accelerator para umabante or just to hold my position.... pag di ko ginawa umaatras yung unit, even if naka set sa D, or kahit i set ko sa 1. hassle kala ko automatic eh walang problema sa mga inclination,.... meron din kaming innova na matic peri wala akong ganitong issue.
syempre, balik ko agad sa casa, at sabi nila iba kase yung innova sa ms, langya, sabi ko ko transmission ang issue. in short di din nila alam kung bakit... so they decided to try another unit at idrive sa inclination.... habang nasa passenger seat ako, so sa gitna ng inclination, sabi ko brake ka, tapos let go sandali, ayun atras yung unit, at need nyang tapakan ng matindi yung acceleration para makabawi, leaving skid marks sa sahig....
sabi lang.... ganyan po kse talaga.... anak ng teteng... pano ko ipapaliwanag sa misis ko yun,
tanong ko lang kung normal lang tlaga to.... iba iba ba ang rsponse ng matic sa inclinations? kung di normal, may silution ba?

Normal nga yun. Fluid pressure in the transmission is overcome by the weight of the vehicle when the inclines are steep enough. Lalo na if engine is just idling lang.

Di talaga maiiwasan na umataras ang sasakyan pag incline at normal event, either MT or AT, lalo pag SUV, mabigat at talagang aatras pag incline pag full stop.
footwork response, pakiramdaman nyo lang po, nakakapanibago talaga pag galing MT going to AT, kasi sa MT, offset naman by means of clutch, kung sa AT, timpla naman sa accelerator pedal, kung sa AT, paatrasin nyo po yung sasakyan pag nasa D position (with caution at walang obstacle for safety) then gamayin nyo po yung tapak sa accelerator pedal, (back to basic) timpla between brake and accelerator. mas makukuha nyo agad yung timing pag paatras ang pasok ng sasakyan sa garahe.
