Actually some modern transmissions learn the driving style and adapt accordingly. Not sure with the Powershift.

^^^ Toyota Innova fits 5 of those criteria except for fast but you can always chip it.

Which is why the Innova is the best selling car in the country (next to the cheaper Vios).

But then again, buying an Innova is as exciting as buying a microwave or ref.

Although too early to tell, I still have to experience "jerkiness" on my week old ecosport a/t. This coming from a previous owner of fiesta.

My wife and I recently test drove the Ecosport. We drove the a/t trend variant. The very first thing i noticed was that the car would jerk alot. (Shifting up and shifting down) That test drive was a deal breaker. Knowing that the car only had 7,000kms on its odo the shifting really wasnt smooth at all. (Kinda felt like a secondhand trans was placed in it)

The SA advised me that it is normal since it is a test drive unit, and the car is trying to learn the driving style of the driver.

That is why i am askin him if his fiesta is an automatic. Coz if its a manual how would he experience the jerkiness.

The transmission of ecosport is different fron conventional type automatic. Take note that this is a dual clutch transmission and inmo ford's dct is not in a perfect stage. Nasa trial and error pa that is why my reliable source at ford told me to avoid the dual clutch transmission. Same thing happened to my fiesta dct.
