June 23rd, 2014 04:13 PM #511Hi!
I have observed that i have increased my fuel consumption lately. My unit is hyundai getz 1.1L 2007 model.
Part of my observation is that the normal rpm range at Neutral is about 800-900 rpm wherein it should be at 300-500 rpm according to the mechanic. He initially adjusted if it will lower down the rpm however there were no changes nor response. 2nd, he cleans the part beside the air filter & the idle speed actuator but no response as well. He then suspects that i already have defective idle speed actuator.
Anybody from here experience the same? Could you share it with me what is the possible solution?
Also, what is your rpm during idle? by the way, my car is manual.
thanks in advance for sharing your experience/response.

With my 6 mo. old Accent hatch, SLEX drive bet 80-100 km/hr at 6th gives me 29/liter. Urban drives using 1-4 gears without traffic gives me 19/liter. No figures for traffic. Computations using drive computer

August 7th, 2014 05:06 AM #514mga sir. i run accross this thread searching for reviews, feedbacks about hyundai accent. though matagal na po itong thread na toh baka lang po may makatulong sa akin on how i can cut down my fuel consumption. i am using a 2012 1.4L AT hyundai accent. its been two years, tried so many ways and different brand of gas and until now im only averaging about 5-6 km/l. can anyone help me if this is a problem with the unit i bought or it is a known, existing issue of accent?

Have you tried bringing it to the dealership for an ECU upgrade? When I got mine I was at 12km/li sa city driving. A few upgrades after and with heavier traffic 10.5km/li. I usually turn off the engine though pag kita ko ng matagal-tagal pa ang andaran. Pansin ko kasi pag idle mabilis tumaas talaga yung onboard computer. Pero actual refills and manual computation proves it otherwise.
PS with the most recent ECU upgrade for gas 1.4 A/T, naka-28km/li ako roundtrip Manila - Baler via manual computation. 30km/li sa onboard computer.

October 4th, 2014 08:56 PM #519Hyundai TCI Model 2011 10 seaters
Aircon in full mode, 4 adults, 2 kids and lots of abubot sa cargo.
hataw mode (3,000-4000 rpms, 120-150km/hr on NLEX, SCTEX, and TPLEX) QC-Baguio-QC: 7.5 km/liter
econo mode (not greater than 2,500 rpms, 90-100km/hr on NLEX, SCTEX, and TPLEX) QC-Baguio-QC: 9.5 km/liter
I think it can go as far as 11km/liter if I have to maintain rpms below 2,000.

Accent Hatch M/T provincial driving, averages 17-18kms/L. From casa release, only use Shell Fuel Save Diesel.
