May 8th, 2014 03:50 PM #931I don't expect much on the Ecosport, I went for it for a simple reason: I need a below Php 1M, point A to point B car that is high enough to cross moderate street floods. Kung wala lang baha saten, malamang Wigo/Mirage ang kinuha ko :-)

May 8th, 2014 07:17 PM #937Just use the proper gearing. Parang diesel ang 1st gear na konting angat ng clutch aabante na. Therefore, mas madali timplahin ang gas & hindi aatras. Clutch technique lang sa paakyat. Kung sobra inclined, hand brake technique na lang para hindi din umaatras.

The EcoSport dos not use a Torque Converter Automatic, so it won't behave like one.
It uses a Dual-clutch Transmissions. That's why you use the brakes when you stop on a hill, when the vehicle is stationary, the clutch disengages. The Hill Launch Assist holds the brakes for a few seconds, enough time for you to move your foot from the brake pedal to the gas pedal.
A Dual-clutch Transmission is basically a manual transmission with computer controlled clutches and shifting (usually with +/- manual mode)Last edited by AG4; May 8th, 2014 at 08:15 PM.
