I don't expect much on the Ecosport, I went for it for a simple reason: I need a below Php 1M, point A to point B car that is high enough to cross moderate street floods. Kung wala lang baha saten, malamang Wigo/Mirage ang kinuha ko :-)

Hi ground clearance and an SUV look at below P1.0M

Am from Davao and unit is used by Wifey. Power? No need as we are limited to only 30 - 40 km/hr in compliance with City ordinance

For already owners out there, Are there any problems (or hirap talaga ang makina especially when full of passengers) encountered whenever the car goes up on inclined ramps? Kunwari yung covered parking ng MOA? 😁

Yes mejo hirap sa paakyat, 4 kami passenger, paakyat, binitawan ko yung gas, umatras kami kahit naka D yung gear. Not sure kung ganun expected result, but I think at least nakahinto dapat kami. Trend AT ito BTW.

Aahhh wala ba sa trend yung hill assist? Or sa titanuim lang talaga yun?

How about for MT owners? May we know your experiences? 😊

Just use the proper gearing. Parang diesel ang 1st gear na konting angat ng clutch aabante na. Therefore, mas madali timplahin ang gas & hindi aatras. Clutch technique lang sa paakyat. Kung sobra inclined, hand brake technique na lang para hindi din umaatras.

Hill Launch Assist is a feature on Powershift models (both Trend and Titanium).

The EcoSport dos not use a Torque Converter Automatic, so it won't behave like one.
It uses a Dual-clutch Transmissions. That's why you use the brakes when you stop on a hill, when the vehicle is stationary, the clutch disengages. The Hill Launch Assist holds the brakes for a few seconds, enough time for you to move your foot from the brake pedal to the gas pedal.
A Dual-clutch Transmission is basically a manual transmission with computer controlled clutches and shifting (usually with +/- manual mode)

Putting it on D and not rolling back (on moderate inclines) is the characteristics of a Torque Converter Automatic.
Not sure kung gumana ung Hill Launch Assist kasi parang umatras kagad pagbitaw ko sa gas pedal but I will try this again soon pag may chance. Automatic naman yun feature na yun diba?
