It looks like Toyota Motor Philippines will be starting 2014 with a trio of new models.
According to a well placed source, the new generation Corolla Altis will start things off in January. As confirmed, the Philippine release of the Toyota Corolla Altis will be based on the European look and not the Corolla launched in the United States.
Like its predecessor, the upcoming Toyota Corolla Altis will be coming from Thailand as well.
The redesigned Toyota Innova, featuring the same design that debuted in Indonesia this past August, will be reportedly launched in February. The redesigned Innova models will come with an enlarged front grille, updated bumpers as well as chrome accents on the tailgate. Engine options are likely to remain the same as with the Indonesian update.
Toyota assembles the Philippine market Innova at their Santa Rosa plant.
Completing the trio will be the Toyota Agya in March, likely to be renamed in our market. The hatch will represent Toyota in the growing entry level segment.
The three models will serve as Toyota's opening salvo into 2014, and it is likely that even more will follow.

^I think it's the best interior for the corolla to date. Gusto ko rin yung likuran, parang Camry. I really hope to god this comes out in January or February!!!

If only it'd come with the 2.0 Valvematic and 1.8 Dual-VVTi as base engine..
But as with most Toyota launches, it'll probably stay the same with the 1.6 1ZR-FE and the 2.0 3ZR-FE.
Not that I'd be buying one, but it'd be nice to see Toyota being competitive with its engine portfolio.

And probably retain the 4 A/T for the 1.6. 4A/T would do fine naman but yung feeling na old tech ang dating compared to the rest of the competition specially malamang carry over din engines from previous gen. Like sa vios from 1st to 3rd gen. Sana 1.6 for E and G, 1.8 Dual VVT-I paired with CVT for V. And the TOTL 2.0V

Most likely the 1ZR will be retained. It's been in the market only recently (starting with the Gen 10.5).
The A/C vents remind me of ones from the W126 S-class.Last edited by vinj; December 2nd, 2013 at 09:31 AM.
