Theoretically, coaxials are better in a true SQ perspective thanks to point-sourcing. Whereas in separates, you'll have to take care on how the tweeter and the midbass is playing. Unfortunately, not many people want to throw 6.5" coaxials at the front of their dashboards... so, yes.. separates is still a better option in a car.
Our ears are insensitive to the location of bass. This is why you can have your computer's subwoofer at the floor and still feel the boom-boom.. and how you can throw a subwoofer at the back of your car. However, if you put your desktop speakers at the floor, you will hear the music coming FROM the floor. How our brain perceives sound waves differs. This is why a separate component is ideal to a car. You mount the tweeter high-up near the dash para ear-level while your midbass is at your doors. At the very least, what you hear is somewhere in the middle of the dash and the speaker... not music coming completely from your legs.

Confirm where they got it. Ace, Blade, etc. these hardware stores aren't what we call trust-worthy when it comes to car audio goods. Mas maganda parin that you go to Banawe or find an authorized distributor or reseller of the product you're searching.
There was a time when Blade was caught selling fake Elettromedia Hertz (HERTZ by Elettromedia - Special Car Stereo) products.

October 8th, 2013 10:39 PM #719hello, good day tsikoteers.
I was going to canvass for a new set of front speakers and the shop owner recommended the buddy dominations seperates.
Anyone with an actual experience with the buddy speakers?
thanks.

Trust me, in the sub-10k speaker category, most of them are so similar that it's frightening. There are differences in sound but that's thanks to speaker materials where the majority are made of either PP (Polypropylene) or paper. Their crossover networks are geared for mass production and isn't what you call unique to each one.
In any case, go for it.
