RICER How-to

1) A 5-inch exhaust tip can give you 20 HP.

2) Fictitious racing team stickers are worth 10 HP each. Performance part vendor stickers are worth 5 HP each, whether or not you actually have the vendor's parts on the car. Type "R" stickers are worth 15 HP and can go on any car.

3) Any rim smaller than 18" is lame..Bigger rims are better and make you faster, despite what those crazy physics laws say. And it doesn't matter if your speedometer is now off by 20% as long as you look good.

4)The Fast and the Furious is not fiction it's a documentary. Everything in it is true, and it's the greatest movie ever made.

5)You must put a rear wing on everything. It must be approximately the same height as the car's roof. Those people that laugh at you for putting a wing on a FWD car are just jealous.

6) Your body kit and wing have no weight of their own. Those people who tell you that any performance increases you have managed to make are negated by the 200 lbs. of fiberglass you have hanging off the car are just jealous.

7) Two windshield wipers which clear the entire windshield and lay neatly out of the way when not needed are inferior to one big brightly-colored wiper which clears only the middle of the windshield and sits in the middle blocking your vision when not needed.

8 ) There is SO such a thing as a Civic GT-R!

9) Your stereo should cost at least as much as the value of your car, and if you can hear that ambulance behind you trying to get by, your stereo is not loud enough.

10) You must always drive with your seat leaned as far back as possible. After all, you're such a bad-ass gangsta you never know when some hata will take a shot at you, especially when cruising around the 'burbs.

11) You can call your car "JDM" if you go buy some amber trailer lights at Pep Boys and stick them on the fenders.

And last but not least,

12) Once you have done everything described above, your Civic LX will be the fastest car on Earth. You're MUCH faster than that non-Honda whatchamacallit sitting next to you at the light. He's obviously really slow, his exhaust is making a funny rumbling sound instead of buzzing like a fast car's should. You're faster, go for it.

I have nothing against this thread, nakakatawa naman talaga yung mga OA sa enhancements at baduy nga naman kung tutuusin.

but one thing came into my mind, para fair din naman doon sa mga may RICE na kotse.

sa mga nabasa ko, yung RICE daw ay parang "poser" ng mga totoong modified na cars for performance, etc.
kunyari naglagay ng decals, stickers, etc. tapos feeling nila (driver/owner) ay makakadagdag ito sa bilis ng car nila.

now lets reverse the scenario.

say i am living around north of metro manila, tapos ang work ko is makati. ang main route ko everyday is EDSA. I upgraded my car, name it - engine, nitrous, intake, springs, etc...so hindi rice ang car ko kasi totoo namang nag-upgrade ako and i have the right to flaunt stickers, spoilers, and so on. pero saan ko naman magagamit ito? saan ko pwedeng gamitin ang speed ng kotse ko kung sobrang traffic naman, may speedlimit din naman, at kung tutuusin kaya din namang abutin ng regular sedan ang bilis ng pwedeng itakbo mo sa kalsada sa pinas.

so useless din diba?

ang point ko is, buti pa nga yung mga RICE (hindi yung OA ha) e nakikita mong may purpose (kahit poser na purpose) ang paglalagay mo kasi may ibang nagagandahan dito at nalagyan mo ng identity yung kotse mo. unlike sa tunay na upgrade, tapos ang takbo mo lang naman ay below 100kmh.

kaya sa mga carshow, natatawa na lang ako, ang baduy ng performance upgrade, hindi naman magamit sa totoong kalye. well, maybe ang purpose ay para nga lang sa carshow.

I think ang ibig sabihin ng baduy eh yung tipong toyota sasakyan mo tapos may mga performance stickers ka ng ralliart, spoon, mugen etc. Sama na rin siguro yung nasobrahan sa chrome?
Kung may performance parts, ok talaga yun. Pero sa mga nakikita ko na posts dito eh may mga spoiler na baliktad, honemade etc. Meron din may hood scoop pero na engine.

Malay mo naman sir nagttrack sila on a regular basis.

I know some people who daily drive their modded vehicles. Sa city, they drive normally. Pero pag nasa highway or track all out yan.

I modified my car not for daily drive nor for show but for my viewing pleasure sa garage ko.. & i dont think its baduy

A very rich relative of mine told me na baduy or pambata na lang daw ang mga car show.. What they(rich people) do is pay the express way for hi speed run

I know some people who daily drive their modded vehicles. Sa city, they drive normally. Pero pag nasa highway or track all out yan.

ang mga kakilala kong gumagawa at gumagamit niyan (performance mod), hindi nila ginagamit sa normal city driving or everyday use. pang "hobby" lang talaga at ang purpose e sa racing. pagpupunta nga sila sa mga tracks e naka-trailer pa yung modded car. so for me that's not baduy. ang baduy e yung pang hobby mo na car e gagamitin mo sa kalye ng maynila at araw-araw pamasok hehe.
