In fairness to Roxas, (or any cabinet secretary for that matter), 12 hours isn't enough to get a clear idea of what happened. I'd rather not say anything conclusive until more details have been gathered. The press conference, IMHO, was meant to assuage the public kasi some pundits may think it was a terrorist attack, which would place the country in a bad light.
Personally, I think napakiusapan sina Roxas and Pnoy ng mga Ayala to personally handle the incident because it will hurt their business and reputation. Good thing it happened on a Friday night. Try to check the shares of Ayala-linked companies (e.g. Ayala Land), it may drop substantially, hehehe. People sti ll remember the Glorietta incident.

No... that is just a false impression of a single incident. Prefab structures like condos and office buildings are as safe or even safer than older more traditional style construction with use of "buhos" and hollow blocks.
It is like saying the old 60s or 70s era cars are safer than current model cars simple because they exhibit less external damage from initial visual inspection.
