May 31st, 2013 02:39 PM #111Sa AT slow acceleration on the low gears kahit madiin ang apak after that normal acceleration na. Not sure kung ganun din sa MT. I don't think underpowered coz di naman ako nahirapan sa 4 adults 1 kid at punong trunk. Very comfortable ride better suspension kaysa city idsi.

May 31st, 2013 02:42 PM #112ahh..see but i was thinking of getting the m/t so does that mean that i might not get the lag? sabi nung iba its the gear ratio, others say its the engine talaga. i read di sa forums that putting in an aftermarket intake can help the car breathe easier. hehe...been doing a lot of research myself before buying one.

June 9th, 2013 10:41 AM #118Drove yesterday from lucena to lopez quezon passing by both old zigzag and new road sa atimonan using D kayang kaya naman. Only time I shifted to M was going back thru old zigzag sharp turn to the right steep pala pagkabig I immediately shifted to manual then back to D nung makabwelo. Yung lag sa lower gears madali na iwasan basta prepared ka lang wag yung basta na lang apak na madiin at very low gear.
Travelled 170 km ave speed 31.9 km/l coz daming roadworks and hirap magovertake on curves got 10.6 km/l.

June 12th, 2013 07:16 AM #120Yes it's a guzzler compared with other models but please consider that my trip included uphills on narrow and winding roads while following trucks, curves that slows me down and roadworks that resulted in an average speed of only 31.9 km/hr (not km/l as I previously posted). Traffic was also stopped for several minutes as we waited for a procession to finish crossing the road (FC of the sonic is bad when idle for a long time).
For our trip we had the option of using the honda city idsi which has a very good FC or the sonic which has better handling. I opted for the sonic due to its more comfortable and stable ride since I was expecting a long drive.
Here's a better mileage from chevy.
