May 7th, 2013 01:28 PM #2331I own a 2003 Isuzu Crosswind AT. Had it's nozzle cleaned about a month ago, together with the fuel filter and sedimentor. After this, I noticed na medyo "sakal" yung power. Found out from the calibration center that I went to, that when the nozzle's were cleaned, the "pressure" was set to 180 instead of the 185 recommended by isuzu. According to the mechanic, hindi daw ito yung possible cause nung "sakal" na power. Mas ok nga daw yung lower setting kasi it means masmadali daw pumasok ang fuel dahil sa lower pressure. Is this true?
the mechanic thinks its the injector - baka kailangang linisin na daw. (air filter is about 3 months new pa lang. wala namang restricted sa air supply). When the mechanic steps on the pedal, napansin nya na hindi agad nagre-respond yung engine. Floored na yung pedal pero di pa "sumisigaw" yung engine...parang humahabol pa lang yung combustion (kaya parang sakal nga yung power).
Could the culprit be the wrong nozzle setting or the injector?
Appreciate any inputs. Also, can anyone recommend a good calibration center near Marikina, Sumulong HW, Cainta, area?
Thanks.

May 9th, 2013 06:06 PM #2333I had the same problem in the past with Suzuki Jimny. Try checking the electric fan that sits on top of the AC fins if its rotating when the AC is turned ON.
It turns out that the electric cable to the electric fans was cut... Don't know if this also applies to sportivo though.
Sorry for the noob terms. I don't know the appropriate terms for them

Patanggal mo muna sir yung Thermostat sa Engine malamang stuck na yan. It can run without it naman, yun nga lang it wont reach optimum engine temp. Its around 850 last time nung nag palit ako. You can buy it from Walco in banawe near the corner of E.Rod. or Jayson in Tondo or Jetco sa Recto.

Good day to all crosswind masters here, I am new to this forum, i signed up because I found this forum upon searching information about crosswind because my father wants to buy a crosswind, our option is to buy a second hand Sportivo 2009-2011 with budget of 800k or a brand new XT, any advise or suggestions mga master? one more question pala sirs, bakit mukhang mas mataas tingnan ang sportivo kesa XT, dahil lng ba sa tires or sa config mismo ng pang ilalim ng Sportivo? considering almost same price ng 2nd hand na sportivo sa brand new na XT if piliin ba namin ang sportivo wala pa kaya kmi ma compromise like madisappoint kmi kung masira agad o magkaproblema ang Sportivo since 2nd hand na sya?

May 18th, 2013 10:19 PM #2340Since matititbay naman mga Crosswinds at pareho lang engine, transmission at chassis nila, just get the 2nd hand Sportivo. You'll get the same car, but with more added features. Just make sure hindi siya flooded, involved in a serious accident or anything major.
As with the suspension thing, ask other members na lang. I'm not sure about this. Pero I know may different bumper, side mouldings and wheel arches ang Sportivo as compared to the XT para maacomodate yung bigger, wider wheels. (Simply put it this way: adding bigger wheels to your XT does not simply make it look as good as your Sportivo, dahil you need to replace your bumpers and add wheel arches and side mouldings pa para hindi nakalawit yung wheels)
