Mitsubishi Montero Sudden Acceleration Accidents [MERGED]

has anybody ever measured the distance of the gas pedal from the brake pedal of the monty?

how about the width of the pedals? perhaps it is wider on the monty thus perhaps the shorter distance?

any comparos on this distance with other similarly classed vehicles?

Nothing really remarkable about the pedals except the fact that central tunnel is wide, which means the gas pedal is off-set slightly towards the center of the driver's footwell compared to... say... an Adventure.

All or most SUA incidents involves drivers that are unaware of this particular issue. They are caught off-guard the moment SUA happens in their Monty. Are there incidents wherein the driver involve already know this issue beforehand and quickly step on the brake the moment it happened. I think there's none.

IMO, bakit hindi na lang imbestigihan yung mga dealer. Reading all the blog post of the Montero Sport SUA, iisa lang napansin kong common denominator nila. The Monty was serviced at the dealers of the group of Union Motor, Peak Motors and Citimotors. Wala pa akong nabasa na SUA Monty na after magpaservice sa mga dealers ng Diamond Motor, nagkaroon ng SUA issue. Kahit din sa mga province wala pa akong nababasa na SUA issue.

if i am not mistaken yung monty na manual ng paSUAy ay sa cebu ata

Just this morning nagkwento yung kaibigan ko na bigla daw umatras yung monty nila sa tagaytay last yr at nakabangga ng sasakyan. Paalis na daw kasi sila ng parking at pinapadaan niya muna yung sasakyan, nung una umaatras na daw dahan dahan tapos biglang lumakas yung hatak paatras at ayun bumangga daw. Nakatapak daw yung isang paa niya sa brakes at yung isang paa niya eh nasa baba lang daw. Nung pinacheck daw nila sa mitsu, nagalit pa daw ang mitsu kasi wala naman daw silang nakita na problema.

Hindi sila aware dito sa Montero Sudden Acceleration na to, kanina lang niya nalaman dahil sinabi ko sakanya.

at least a friend of a tsikot member can actually vouch for what he experienced... it adds to the veracity of the complaints... pag naka experience yan ay taga MSCP mas lalong credible na...

A first hand experience that would be shared would be more credible. Out of the 589 posts including mine, none of them shared of their own accident/s..
