    HI == your lights on FULL BRIGHT (aka flasher, pag naka-HI ka yun yung nakakasilaw sa incoming traffic). Ito yung mode ng bulb mo pag pinull mo yung headlight handle mo sa manibela para sumenyas na ikaw muna mauuna, oovertake ka, or gusto mong patabihin yung nasa harap mo kasi mabilis ka.

    LO == your lights are on dim per se (normal mode lang, di naka-HI)

    On other cars, there are four bulbs on a single headlight assembly, one is your signal bulb, the other your park light (yung peanut sized lang na halos walang silbi pag naka-ninja tint ka), next is your LO light, and the last one is the HI. Sa ganito, pwede na yung HID mo is LO-only (aka single type), gawa ng separate ang bulb na nagha-HIGH BEAM sa LO mo then retain mo na lang yung HIGH mo to stock (aka Halogen lang na di kailangan ng ballast or kahit ano pang kit).

    Unfortunately sa Sentra natin, tatlo lang ang bulbs, one is yung signal light, the other park light, and another one for doing both HI and LO functions. So one bulb does both HI and LO functions (H4 bulb po ito commonly, and sa high-end naman e D2S type). Yung sa Sentra H4...

    Ngayon, gawa ng isang bulb lang for both HI and LO, di pwede yung single type.... OR, kung pwede man, wala kang HI. So kung gusto mong senyasan yung nasa harap mo na tumabi or kung may babangga sayo, di mo mawawarningan kasi wala kang panghigh-beam e.... Hence, naimbento tong HI/LO types at TELESCOPIC type ng H4.

    Sa HI/LO na type, dalawang bulb siya - yung LOW mo HID tapos sa gilid niya may regular na halogen bulb for HIGH-beam functions. Sa Telescopic naman, isa lang talaga ang bulb, and may motor lang sa bulb mismo that will automatically TILT (aka magpapagalaw) ng bumbilya para mag-HIGH BEAM yung ilaw mo.

    Advantage ng HI/LO eh kung nasanay ka ng nasenyas sa nasa harap mo or pasalubong sayo gamit yung HI beam, pwede mong i-maintain yung habit na yun, di masisira bumbilya or ballast mo (nakakasira kasi ng bumbilya ang biglaang patay-sindi sa HID)... disadvantage naman niya eh yung HI mo, kulay stock lang siya (assuming 6000K or puting-puti ang ipapakabit mong kulay)... sa iba, baduy, sa iba okay lang naman. Sa telescopic naman, advantage niya eh pareho kulay ng ilaw mo whether naka-LO ka or naka-HI, disadvantage naman niya eh maingay (well, depende sa brand) siya pag nalipat from LO to HI and vice versa, at yun nga, based from reviews, mas madalas nasisira tong ganitong type - madalas ang warranty claims.

    Admitted, medyo matakaw ng konti on mid-rpm sa SLEX (130kph) lalo pag nakaaircon.... well kasi nga naman 1.3 engines aren't for such speeds imo.

    Pero you wouldn't believe this:
    Sunday afternoon driving sa SLEX (light traffic)
    May sinundo akong date, so dalawa lang kami sa kotse. A/C is on except nung sa Tagaytay route na...

    San Pedro Laguna to Greenbelt > Greenbelt to Tagayta > Tagaytay to Malabon City (via EDSA) > Malabon City to San Pedro....

    1 or 2 lines lang sa fuel gauge ang nabawas.
    It ran on Shell Unleaded, I think...
    (Puro pa kasi Unleaded ng Shell nun)

    The QG engine is designed for optimum fuel economy and not for power as per se.,.. but you can give it a try once in a while...

    So far sa SLEX, top speed ko with the 1.3 is 150kph A/C on,...


    OT? Diba walang vvt ang 1.3 engine na ito? vvt is dun sa 1.6 (GSX/GS) and 1.8 (180GT) engines lang? Pls correct me if im wrong

    nice naman! hay sana ganito fc natin parati. hahaha. mine plays at 8-9.. hay. and true bagal ng hatak sa una. pero once naka bwelo na ok na sya.

    how's your tsikot? back to normal na ba?!

    hassle kaninang umaga, nakakatempt magpaharurot sa c-5 Kalayaan hanggang Gil Puyat! walang tao! was doing 100 when biglang mag lubak palang matindi! i checked when i pulled over kung may damage, awa ni Batman, wala naman.. kaso pagpark ko tsaka ko lang nakita na bulag isa kong foggies.. bad trip! hayz.. sana pundi lang....

    Yeowch! Bad trip talaga yang mga potholes sa kalye natin ngayon chief. Kung kailangan niyo ng H3 inform niyo ako (bulb ng fogs), may dalawa pa akong pares dito e. hehehe

2008 Nissan Sentra 1.3GX
