    4. PSP - it's not new. But, it's still quite formidable both as a portable media and gaming device.

After thoroughly testing the current model (8gb) Nano I gave my daughter for Christmas, I'm putting it in 4th place and putting the PSP in a tie with the iPod Touch for 2nd.

Oh. The DS Lite would've taken 7th place.

I've got both the PSP and the eePC. I'd say that the PSP is a higher quality product... but you're paying a lot for a little there...

I've some issues with the eePC's speed. Opening up 20 tabs on my web browser ( ) isn't as quick or as easy as with my 1.7 GHz Compaq... and the touchpad is a little sticky when the computer's processor starts slowing down when I'm multi-tasking. And the tiny keyboard takes some getting used to.

But considering I'm typing this on the eePC right now, and that I can browse on my lap, in bed or absolutely anywhere you can sit down... hell, who cares about the negatives?
This is a great little toy. 3.5 hour battery life, plays all videos (though it has issues with WMV... but who the hell uses WMV, anyway?) has a built-in webcam and speakers... all I've had to buy were a small optical mouse and an SD card for movie storage (500 pesos for a 2GB card...)... and a small tote-bag to carry everything in.

Yes, baby... I've got a man-purse... ...it carries my eePC, my portable hard-drive (160GB Passport) and my PSP. Who needs a fancy cellphone?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I'm loving my EEEpc! I still can't believe that I got this nice gadget for less than what I paid for a cellphone. haha.

I think there actually might be an EEE PC EB forming one of these days.

That'd be grand... we'd all sit in one area and... chat with each other via Google Messenger...

This thing is infectious... my Mom wants to get one now, but in lime green. I'm still waiting on our supplier to come up with the 1 gigabyte RAM upgrade... if that cures the hesitation with Firefox, or at least lessens it (heck, my aforementioned 1.7 GHz Laptop also experiences some slowdown with multi-tab browsing), then I'll raise my rating from four stars to four-and-a-half.

The last half-star is held, pending the ability to install video games... I'm reviewing my options right now...

    EDIT:

Hmmm... browsing the eeeusers forum... I'm getting an idea... 2 GB memory upgrade and GIMP (open source photochopping program...)... man, I'm drooling now... :hysterical:
