October 18th, 2006 10:06 PM #25if you plan to do some online shopping .. a lot of merchants/sellers only accept payments through paypal .. yung mga small sellers naman kasi won't be able to accept credit card payment outright .. so register sila sa paypal and they provide their bank info so that if anybody buys from them, paypal is able to deposit the money in their account .. so the buyer will also have to register if he wants to buy anything from a mercant only accepting paypal, so they provide naman their credit information to paypal .. so paypal is able to protect buyer and seller because as a seller you don't have to verify the buyer and as a buyer, you know that your credit info is safe .. dami kasing credit card fraud out there ..

How does PayPal work?
PayPal can be used to send and receive payments through the Internet. Once you sign up for PayPal, you can send money to anyone with an email address using money from your PayPal balance or another funding option of your choice, such as a credit card, debit card, or your bank account. Recipients are then notified via email that they have received a payment from you.
For the Philippines, you can only send payments via your credit card enrolled in Paypal.
Merchants such as Ebay, Tigerdirect.com accepts paypal payments. Of course, you'll have to check first with the other party if they would ship abroad. You can also have the goods shipped in the U.S.
