May smart bro thread pala dito di ko nakita. Kwento ko lang yung experience ko dito.
It all started when they were starting to market this wireless broadband thing. wala pang smart bro noon. This connection was handled by Meridian Telekoms. The service was okay with the occassional disconnections and downtimes but it became worst when Smart took over.
3 times in a week akong walang connection as in 0. Whenever bad weather comes in, they replace my antenna and it works for about 2 weeks and then goes down and the same cycle goes of replacing the antenna. Reporting the problem. Replacing the antenna. Meron pa ngang time na tinaasan nila yung tubo at my expense.
I got tired of it and reported that for the past 6 months all I had was problems. Their customer support was incredibly horrible and they don't give a damn about their customers. Gusto ko ng magpadisconnect pero naka lock in daw ng 1 year.
What I've done is that I reported the issue (Along with my peers) in tipidpc.com to NTC. NTC had to act on it because there are 300 of us who are having issues with it. May mga rebates akong nakuha and of course di na nila kinuha yung antenna at nabulok na siya sa bubong namin.
The problem with Smart Bro is that they don't observe the area that they are installing in. As far as I can remember, 2005 pa yata ito.
Smart Bro needs a direct line of sight to the base station for you to get a good, stable connection.
I also remember that I studied the antenna GUI and I got to know how to shift from 1 base station to another. May rotator pa nga yung antenna ko na i got from my base radio antenna (back in the days).
To all thos people who will want one will better think about the location of their homes/establishments. Dapat malapit ka talaga sa base station para stable and good yung connection.
(Haba noh)

Medyo stable na smartbro connection ko for the past half-year now. This was not the case before that.
Dati halos araw-araw akong tumatawag sa CS nila para i-report ang problems ko with their service. Puro temporary fixes lang nangyayari. Ang ginawa ko nag-email ako sa isang writer of Phil Daily Inquirer who has a column for consumers and my mail got featured in her column. Siguro pinadalhan niya din ng kopya yung Smart kaya after that article was published, panay tawag sa kin ng Smartbro for a month checking on my connection and dispatching their technical personnel right away to fix my service problems.
