DAVAO CITY, Philippines -- The DSL services of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) in Davao City shut down on Sunday, and company executives had yet to determine what disrupted the Internet service.
The shutdown affected thousands of corporate and home broadband users in the Southern Mindanao region. Based on inquiries received by PLDT’s customer service, the problem started at 9 a.m.
As of 3 p.m., broadband service had yet to be restored. But those using the company’s dial-up server are able to access the Internet at this time, the Philippine Daily Inquirer has learned
