May 20th, 2013 07:43 PM #91Just bought a Edimax N300 universal wifi extender. I set it up in my parents house. They are using the free PLDT router/modem with very limited range. Setup was a pain in the behind. hate reading instruction manuals. Anyway, was able to get it to run and they now have wifi on the ground floor. No signal before.

The thing has its own ssid. Password has to be the same with your original ssid. So if your ssid is "abcd" the edimax extender will be "abcdXXX" So you know which one your connected to. Did not try to run speed tests. It works and I'm happy. Worth it.
I'm guessing if you have a hacienda, you can use 2 or 3 of these to get coverage for a big area.
