I just updated my software today for my Note 2. I am very happy with the update except that I cannot remove the stupid freaky looking contact icons on messaging. I was able to remove this before but I can't seem to find it with the update
I also don't like the size of the default font, yung Tiny nila would probably be appropriate for someone with a 1000/1000 visionIf I can't remove these icons, I wanna go back to my old software, can I restore this to the old setting?

The update you recieved was for the operating system, from Android 4.1.2 to Android 4.3, including Touchwiz. I think there's no way you can uninstall that because that is the stock SMS Messaging app. Only way is to get another SMS Messaging App from Playstore...

+1 with a third party sms app - you should try HELLO, it's free.
If you're a stickler for the default app - the way around it is to ROOT your phone, use Xposed framework, then install the APP SETTINGS module.
Set the default messaging app to 240dpi znd you're good to go.
I agree the fonts are too big, even when you set it to tiny.
