got them for 3,290 at the listening room mega
ang ganda ng sound! music really comes alive with these headphones, especially for the price. mas maganda yung quality nung audio, even compared to a decent set of 4.1 multimedia speakers (my Cambridge Soundworks FPS2000). mas distinct yung tunog ng instruments, and its easier to hear faint instruments that aren't very apparent with the MM speakers. the clarity is really good
very comfortable too, and it doesn't need to be powered by a dedicated amplifier to deliver great sound... although those looking for deep, tight bass will be a bit disappointed.
great sound for the price! if the 497 can deliver this much sound quality, nakakatakot na siguro yung tunog ng HD600!! hehehe

sennheisers are a reputable brand talaga...even their microphone work wonders din....hehhehe
but their headphones are one of the best, AKG brands are very very good also if not, much better than senns....
be reminded that senns headphones are built for diff applications, like they have models for cd players, mds and the likes, they also have diff. makes for mp3 players, same w/ AVR, Intgrated Amps, or digital connections...hindi komo mas mataas yung model number eh mas maganda ang kalalabasan nang tunog...

Actually i will use it for my PC to listen to my MP3s while everyone is already asleep.
Yung mga na-experience kong computer headphones, puro tunog lata. Wala man lang fidelity.

sennheiser is very well recommended. i use it myself. but you really need a headphone amp to get the best performance out of the midrange- and higher models (e.g. i use the HD495). the circumaural models (e.g. HD590) are even better, both acoustically and comfort-wise, but an amplifier is more or less mandatory, while the HD495 or 497 doesn't need one. the lower-numbered sennheisers (e.g. RS60) are pretty run-of-the-mill, not much different from the usual sony or philips.

if bass is what you want, then look no further than the Beyerdynamic DT770-80. these suckers are the bass monster of headphones, but they still sound good. the midrange is kinda recessed coz it gets drowned out by the bass. it does need an amp though to sound good.

look no further than the Sennheiser 497. i use these and they are impressive even without a headphone amp. around P3,200. search the net for reviews (ex. http://www.headphone.com/guide/by-ma...er/sennheiser/ ) and you'll see that feedback is overwhelmingly positive hehe.
other good choices for P2,000 or below: Sennheiser 212 Pro, Sennheiser 202, AKG K55, AKG K66
make sure that the headphone you get fits comfortably on your head and ears.
yugn ibang brands tulad ng Beyerdynamic at Grado... almost impossible to find here hehe (i think)

As in plug-it-in-ready-to-go.
