Which completely misses the point of an Eee, OB. You buy one for the portability, not the power.
At the Eee's price point, it's still a fair bit better deal than a high-end cell-phone.
That's why many of us won't be upgrading... simply, the 701 does what we need... portability.
But if I were still in the market, the 900 would be tempting. I noticed, also, when I was at the store that the power brick is slimmer than the current one, which would make it much lighter and easier to transport. Actually, with the better ergonomics and packing, I think definitely would have gone for the 900.
We'll see. I can probably sell my Eee for... what? 10k? 8k? And then stump the extra for the upgrade...
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

because SSD consumes less space and battery. the eeepc has small space underneath and a puny battery that;s why they placed an SSD instead of a hard disk inside. and an HD consumes more power than SSD
wow ang ganda nga ng improvementkaya pala nag sale ang graphics samin noon kasi lalabas pala ang bagong version. at lumabas pala talaga ang noon ay rumor lamang na lalabas daw ang 9inch screen version

Just curious. Has anyone tried gaming with either ASUS? I'm sure it's pretty low-key. But, I wanted to see if it's possible, especially with 2-d games such as Blitzkrieg, Red Alerts 1 and 2, and Rise Of Nations.
For me, gaming while on the road don't need to be the latest or greatest. Just something to while a few hours away until I fall asleep.
My daughter wants my Toshiba to replace her old iBook 800. So, I may end up buying an ASUS eeePC after all.Last edited by Jun aka Pekto; May 24th, 2008 at 06:26 AM.

personally i'd also wait for the atom version or the release of the MSI Wind.
so far this lappy is shaping out to be a serious threat to the eee pc because of its cheaper price.

i'm now eyeing the 14" inch widescreen compaq. kasi yun ang tama sa eyes
the 15" 17" laptops are too big na for mobility
