March 25th, 2013 03:03 PM #1364-bit systems/operating systems can make use of more memory:
2^32 = ~4GB RAM maximum(although some older mobos can't handle 4GB due to hw/BIOS limit)
2^64 = ~16 exabytes
64-bit systems should also be able to process data in bigger chunks given that it's using 64-bit registers.
imho there might be some sluggishness running 32-bit apps on a 64-bit OS, but i don't think you'll notice it.

hindi lang naman sa RAM support makikita ang difference. in windows, 64-bit:
* come with a technology to prevent hijacking the kernel,
* support for hardware-enabled data execution protection,
* mandatory digitally signed 64-bit device drivers,
* and increased performance for programs that are written to take advantage of a 64-bit operating system.

kung magretain ka lang ng 2GB of RAM, ok na yung 32 bit. pero pag mag 4GB pataas ka, 64 bit dapat
