surging and bucking starting at 3rd gear

Just got my focus from casa after undergoing PMS.

Lo and behold during my trip back home -- i experienced surging and bucking once i am in 3rd gear (A/T). another thing, it takes too long to change to 4th gear -- extending stay at 3rd gear hence experience prolonged surging and bucking. RPM even reaches 4k+ before eventually shifting to 4th gear. At 4th gear, surging ang bucking remains but not as pronounced and frequent as when in 3rd gear.

What could be the problem. I have NEVER experienced such a rough ride on my focus.

I will be bringing my car back to the casa. I just want a heads up on what could be the problem and what could've possible happened.

ay hindi po. 1.8 A/T hatch lang.
